Acoustic version of Norwegian Wood by The Beatles
I think it is safe to say that Beatles requests are very common. I always have at least 10 Beatles songs ready to please. Norwegian wood happens to be one of my favorite to preform. I use the octave bar chord technique to play the lead riff. This song is in E so I utilized the other open strings along with a Boss chorus pedal to give it a hint of Sitar effect. This song was recorded in 3/4. You will notice the strumming pattern is meant to smooth out so that the 3/4 timing would not be recognized.
There are so many types of Beatles fans that I recommend having songs from different albums. Some fans don’t like the early “She loves you” style song writing. And on the other hand, people don’t care for the “why don’t we do it in the road” era of writing. So all in all having a good representation of their work including what you notice that people request most is important. You never know what you may find in the tip jar if you make your Beatles fans happy.
